Thurman Maple Days – 3 weekends!
October 12, 2018
The three weekends that comprise Thurman Maple Days draw an increasingly large crowd each year, as people from far and wide come to share the season where old meets new, and to see the sugar bushes and sugar houses where maple-liciousness begins.
They’ve come to the right place. Thurman is the unofficial “maple capital” of Warren County, with the four largest operations and multiple others sprouting around town. This year you’ll get to see four of our producers at work, hear explanations of the process and equipment, and sample the fruits of their labor.
This year’s maple participants are Hidden Hollow, Valley Road, Adirondack Gold, Mud St., and Toad Hill. They are joined by neighboring farms: Nettle Meadow (cheese), Martin’s Lumber (wooden wares & more), Whitefield’s Farm (all-natural poultry), Blackberry Hill (certified organic poultry, non-GMO pork). Sample and shop your way from site to site.
STAY!
Come stay in Thurman-perhaps at The Glen Lodge B&B or, if you camp, inquire at scenic Daggett Lake Campsite or Glen-Hudson Campsite on the River.
