Perky Granger has been an officer of Thurman Station Association (parent organization of Thurman Community Association) since 2001, and has been engaged in promoting the community since that time. She has authored numerous articles featuring Adirondack events and businesses for regional publications and an online travel magazine. She also published two YA historical novels and edited and coauthored an anthology about the experience of coping with a parent's journey with Alzheimer's disease. A third novel is in the works.
